WhatsApp finally lets you write a message now and send it later, at a time you choose.
The app has started testing message scheduling on Android, a feature people have been asking for for years.
How it works
It's simple: write your message, long-press the send button, then pick the date and time.
- You can schedule a message anywhere from 10 minutes to two weeks ahead.
- Even if your phone is off or offline, it goes out automatically at the set time.
- It supports text, photos and videos, and it works in groups too.
When will everyone get it?
For now it's available to a limited number of Android beta users, and there's no announced date for a wider rollout.
The odd part: Telegram has offered this for years, while WhatsApp took a very long time to add it.
Were you waiting for this feature, or do you not need it at all?
